At Logix Federal Credit Union, we believe in smart banking and even smarter giving. That’s why we’re thrilled to once again support SCV Project Linus for their annual Make a Blanket Day—a heartwarming event where our community comes together to craft blankets for children in need.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 22, 2025, and head to the COC East Gym from 10 AM to 4 PM for a day of creativity, connection, and kindness. Whether you're a seasoned “blanketeer” or a first-time fleece cutter, every stitch and snip helps wrap a child in love and warmth.
750 Blankets, One Big Goal
Project Coordinator Sharon Garvar and her incredible students at Academy of the Canyons are rallying the community with an ambitious goal: 750 blankets for children facing illness, trauma, or hardship. With the support of local businesses, volunteers, and Logix, this event is set to be the biggest and coziest yet.
“We are grateful to the students and parents in our community; they continue to show up for Make a Blanket Day,” Garvar shared. “Our goal for this year’s event is 750 blankets. It’s truly a group effort, and Logix Federal Credit Union continues to sponsor us. Together, we can make a difference.”
How to Get Involved
Join us at the event: Sign up for a time slot at www.scvprojectlinus.org. No experience? No problem! Instructions will be provided, and all you need is a giving heart.
Make a blanket at home: If you prefer crafting in your own space, drop off completed blankets at the event. Plus, students earn two service hours per blanket!
Donate fleece: The best fabrics for blanket-making are anti-pill fleece and blizzard fleece—because quality matters when you’re making something with love.
More Than Just Blankets
Logix has proudly partnered with SCV Project Linus since 2018, and we’ve seen firsthand how these handmade blankets bring comfort to children during tough times.
“This opportunity allows for students to connect, and adults, too,” says Alethia Calagias, Logix Community Relations Manager. “We’ve been helping SCV Project Linus since 2018, when our employees made hundreds of blankets during a community service activity. This is a cause that anyone and everyone can get behind.”
