I look forward to the beginning of each new year as an opportunity to set self-improvement goals. For many of us, New Year's resolutions are focused on health but it’s just as important to evaluate your financial wellness and resolve to set some long- and short-term goals. Fortunately, January is Financial Wellness month, which was created to remind us to pay closer attention to our financial well-being after the hustle, bustle, and high spending that comes with the holiday season.
This year marks our 85th year of helping members thrive! We’re celebrating this remarkable milestone by recognizing you, our members, for contributing to our success all these years. Lockheed Aircraft Employees Credit Union was chartered by twelve Lockheed employees in 1937, just as the country was climbing its way out of the Great Depression. Our members – then, all Lockheed employees – found safety, financial value, and excellent service in the years that followed and this continues to be true 85 years later.

Dear Valued Members, As our economy reopens, many of us will make up for lost time by spending on the experiences we’ve missed out on in the past 16 months. A return to normal includes travel, concerts, dining at restaurants and family reunions. I recently read that as many as 70% of Americans are planning at least one post-COVID splurge purchase and that 60% of Americans are planning to spend more on vacations. Naturally, it made me think about how Logix can help our members spend wisely and emerge from the pandemic financially well. After all, providing members with superior value and trusted advice is the reason Logix exists. |

2020 has been an extraordinary year for Logix with many opportunities brought on by the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I’m proud of our employees and leadership team for demonstrating remarkable teamwork during this time and staying true to our mission: helping our members thrive. We deferred loan payments for over 16,000 members to help them make ends meet. We paid some of the highest deposit yields in the nation despite environmental rates hitting all-time lows. We scaled our operations to meet unprecedented mortgage demand, significantly reducing monthly mortgage payments for thousands of our members.
